В середине января появилась инфа, что владелец двухстороннего ацетата "Vegetable Man / Scream Thy Last Scream" из Лос-Анжелеса хочет за него $10000.

Мне кажется что "You're The Reason Why" звучит вполне даже себе психоделично,
в духе психоделии конца 60 ых.
Видны истоки Пинк Флойд!

А какие ещё есть интересные редкости?
И что известно - издадут ли тот материал над которым Рик работал последнее время жизни -
инструментальный альбом.

Well, it was very early demos that we did long before we signed with anyone, when we were getting a couple of hours in a studio that belonged to a friend of Rick [Wright]'s. There's a great version of 'I'm a King Bee' with Syd playing a slide guitar and it's these kids who want to be in an R&B band. It's light-years away from 'The Wall' and the whole full-on Pink Floyd thing. There's another one called 'Walk With Me, Sydney' that's got Rick's wife Juliette singing on it. It's almost like seeing a diary entry with a photograph. It just takes you back, 45 years back to another day, another era, another life, to that person who was you.

А..я то уже губы раскатал, что нашли оригинальные мультитреки к She Was a Millionaire или Early Morning Henry.

Mason [at once]: "Yes. I would love that. If we did an 'Immersion' version of the early stuff, we could have all of those, and then we've got some demos that were made really early on, which I think are just charming. these come from 1965 and include 'Lucy Leave', "I'm A King Bee", "Walk With Me Sydney", and "Double O-Bo". They're very R'n'B. Of course we were yet another English band who wanted to be an American style R'n'B band. We recorded the demo at Decca. I think it must have been, in Broadhurst Gardens. A friend of Rick's was working there as an engineer, and managed to sneak us in on a Saturday night when the studio wasn't operating."

David Cavanagh: "Have you always know of this tape's existence?"

Mason: "Yes, I've always had a copy of it."

Nick came in with a huge box full of quarter tapes which had been sitting in storage. When we trawled through them, there were a lot of early recordings, pre-Piper, when they were playing "Louie, Louie" and being an R'n'B band. Then there were quite a few Barrett-era Floyd tracks that never got released, which were mixed recently as part of [the work done on] An Introduction To Syd Barrett, when we didn't know that they weren't going to get used. There is potentially the material to make an album of unreleased Barrett-era stuff.

Вещь с той же сессии декабря 64 года, кажется первая вещь которую написал Сид.



Пробовалась на сессиях к Piper в апреле 67 года, возможно в качестве второго сингла. Недоделали/забраковали, на abbey road лента потерта.
Сид потом опять ее воскресил под именем Millionaire на сессиях к Barrett, но запись все еще не всплыла.


Саундтрек к его фильму Speak, в документации значится как почти 11 минутный инструментал, записано в De Lane Lee в октябре 67 (а в тот период еще много забракованных потом вещей писали), пленка на Abbey Road

Еще может быть где-то существуют пленки с сессии 31 октября 66 года ?
