Не Ingrit, но скажу :) Если память не изменяет, то Сонни Листона в концерте Шангри-Ла-тура в Питере исполнял сидя. И еще я что-то где-то точно видел. А вот с последнего питерского концерта, было ли - сейчас не припомню...

Нопфлер устроил онлайн-прослушивание и самому талантливому лично преподаст урок мастерства. Каждый должен скачать 3 минусовки и сыграть партию Нопфлера. Тот, кто сделает это лучше всех приедет в студию к Марку и лично поучится правильно бренчать :)

PureSolo Announces Mark Knopfler Competition

Guitarists are invited to audition online for the chance to win a one-to-one mentoring session with Mark Knopfler.
PureSolo.com, the online music recording community, has teamed up with Mark to launch an online guitar competition, in which guitarists are given the chance to win a master class with Mark at his private studios in London.
The competition's unique method of entry offers guitarists the opportunity to take the place of Mark on three original recordings. These tracks have been specially remastered with the lead guitar part removed and entrants are invited to re-record this part in their own style.
Guitarists without access to recording equipment need not worry, as all the tools needed to create their competition entry are provided at PureSolo.com. The site boasts an online recording facility that makes it easy for anyone to record music using just a microphone and computer.
Once submitted for entry, songs can be played and rated by other members of the PureSolo community, eventually creating a shortlist from which the winning recording will be chosen by an expert panel of judges including Mark himself.
Joining Mark on the judging panel are Chris Vinnicombe, Guitar Editor at MusicRadar.com; and Harvey Newquist, author and founder of The National Guitar Museum.
The competition launches today, June 14 and will run until August 31. The original backing tracks required for entry are exclusively available at PureSolo.com and are priced at £1.99. Once purchased, PureSolo tracks can be re-recorded an unlimited number of times.
The competition prize includes a return economy flight from anywhere in the world and two nights in a five-star hotel in London. There will also be a prize for the competition's runner up, a Fender guitar courtesy of The National Guitar Museum.

как-то незаметно для меня прошло единственное благотворительное выступление группы The Straits в Royal Albert Hall 22 мая 2011. Три участника Dire Straits кроме Марка Нопфлера там играли вместе с приглашенными звездами.

Согласен, весьма плодотворная и весьма интересная. Но по сравнению с карьерой Dire Straits это ничто...

Выломали у меня несколько лет назад магнитолу из машины. И что самое обидное - со свежеприобретенным сольником Нопфлера. Приехала в магазин за новой. Поплакалась продавцу на воров, про Нопфлера, конечно, не сказала. А продавец - ой, как я вас понимаю, у самого неделю назад магнитолу украли. И что самое обидное - с любимым альбомом Dire Straites. В общем, как решили, шла целенаправленная охота:)))

Весьма интересно может получиться.
Интересно, на этих концертах Марк тоже на стульчике все время сидеть будет? Все-таки неудобно как-то получится - Дилану уже 70, и он до сих пор на скаку, на его фоне сидящий 60-летний Нопфлер будет смотреться не очень гармонично :)
